Photography problems
1 April, 2014

Hey All, It's with a very heavy heart that I write this post, it's been awhile coming, but I've decided that it is time for me to put down my camera, at least in a professional capacity. It's been a hard slog since starting full-time in 2008, I've changed directions a few times, had some pretty awesome highs like getting magazine covers, interviews, TV coverage, travelling to Cambodia on a volunteer trip and seeing a heap of Australia... I've...

Latest Travels and Projects
19 March, 2014

Hey All, It's been an incredibly busy year so far, I can't believe we're in Autumn here in Australia already! I'm looking forward to the weather and conditions that Autumn and Winter bring though, I've scouted a few new locations that I think will be perfect to photograph in winter.   I've got a few projects on the go here in the South West right now, a couple of new ones in Perth and it looks like I might be making a very quick...

2014 - Busy so far and travels galore!
26 January, 2014

Hey All, Long time between posts, I know, it's been a pretty hectic few months with projects all over the place! Since my last blog post I've worked with many local companies helping them with their photography and some virtual tours. In the break there were also some trips away to Geraldton and a project Albany. Here are some of the photos from the trip: The rest of 2014 is shaping up to be very busy, already I have...

Google Business Photos
28 November, 2013

Hey All,   I've been pretty busy over the last few weeks, capturing some virtual tours of our local businesses.  For those who might have missed it, last year I went through Google's certification program and became a Google Trusted Photographer. This allows me to photograph Google Street View style virtual tours inside businesses and put them on Google Maps, which is great for the business as Google Maps is, by far, the most used app...

Tourism Australia
6 November, 2013

Tourism Australia have shared a few of my photos on Instagram recently, which I'm pretty stoked with. A few people asked to see the full sized images, so I've posted them here:   Thank you Tourism Australia!   Don't forget that my 2014 Calendars are available to purchase now as well, click on the calendars to have a look through and purchase them:       Regards Paul...

2014 Calendars Launched!
4 November, 2013

Hey All, After missing all the deadlines for 2013's calendars, I've managed to get myself organised and launch my 2014 Calendars!   I'm doing 2 calendars this year, the first one is "Western Australia", it has a collection of images from across this enormous state, from the South West to the Pilbara and out to the Gold Fields!   The second calendar is my "Australia's South West" Calendar, mostly images that I've captured...

Nik Analog Efex Pro - Before & After
31 October, 2013

Yesterday Google made a heap of announcements about new features for their Google+ platform, many of them photography related.   On top of that, they announced a brand new plugin in their Nik collection called Analog Efex Pro, essentially it emulates many different types of old school cameras, films and processing styles. I purchased the Nik suite earlier this year and Google have generously decided to offer Analog Efex Pro free to any...

Road trips to the Pilbara
7 October, 2013

Over the last few months I've worked on a few commissioned trips to the North of Western Australia to a region known as the Pilbara. The Pilbara is a pretty incredible place, over the 2 trips I've driven more than 13,000 kms across all types of terrain, from nice sealed roads to corrugated red-dirt tracks. When you drive through out the Pilbara, you are sharing the roads with some massive road trains, the back bone of Australia,  as well as wide...

My local jetty underwater - before & after
23 June, 2013

Hey all, As most of you may well know, Bec, Ana and I recently moved to Western Australia's south west, we now live in an area called Abbey, we're 600 meters from the beach! This morning was rather stormy, so I decided to check out my local boat ramp and jetty.. I had to get the camera out quick smart! I've posted a short exposure to show what the conditions looked like, and a long exposure to show how I saw it in my mind when I was standing...
