I’ve always had a love of the ocean and being in the water, right from when I was a small child. I’ve had the opportunity to snorkel and free dive all over the world (Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Reef, Christmas Island, Busselton Jetty, Antarctica, Thailand and many other places), naturally I started taking my camera in as soon as I could too.
Over the last few months I’ve completed my Open Water scuba certification and have done as many dives as I can. So far I’ve dived Busselton Jetty several times (with more booked in), The Lena Wreck in Bunbury (more booked in too) a few reefs and then on Friday the 15th of January I headed across to Rottnest Island with Bucketlist Divers to do a few dives.
This was my first time inside the caverns on Rottnest Island, I really can’t wait to head back there and do some more diving. I hadn’t actually intended to go, but a friend of mine said she had booked in and invited me, so I decided to go. I’m so glad I did! Huge thanks to Julia for the gopro footage (using my GoPro Hero 9) and for being a great dive buddy. I also recommend the crew that I went with at Bucketlist Divers, they were friendly, fun and, most importantly, very safety minded.
Thanks for check out my photos and video!
