I had the pleasure of visiting Egypt last October with my 10 year old son and we also stayed at the Pyramid View Inn. Kamal, Muhammed, and the rest of the staff treated us very well. We actually ate at the KFC next door that you described, just for the experience of eating KFC in direct view of the pyramids. We visited Old Cairo as well and had a similar experience of curiosity, yet welcoming gestures from the locals… Thanks for sharing your experience, and I feel honored that I have similar photos (even though yours are a lot better).
