Tonight I headed out with Mark Stothard and Flemming Bo Jensen to photograph a truck that belonged to Glenn, a friend of Mark’s. There is quite an interesting story behind the truck too. This is from Mark’s blog (http://www.truenorthmark.com/blog/2012/02/02/a-step-back-in-time):
“Glenn originally refurbished it back when he was 17 and back then it was bright yellow. When he had a family, he sold it and only recently he set about finding it again, bought it back and then fully rebuilt the old girl one last time!”
I’ve gone for a bit of a stylised look, this is actually a composite of 42 images.
Thank you for inviting me along Mark, it was great to catch up again and it’s always great to have the Flembot around, couldn’t have done it without your exceptional umbrella holding efforts!
Regards
Paul Pichugin
Well put together Paul. Very surreal, almost has a comic feel to it. I like it.
I think we might both be back to the drawings board for a relook Paul!
Looks like it! I’m going to have a play with the sky in mine, I think that’s the main thing that’s bothering me.
Was great meeting up last night Paul, lets do more of that. I like your image, interesting to see yours and Mark’s two very different takes. For me, this is a little over-cooked, too much magazine style for me. Somewhere between yours and Mark’s lies the perfect version :)
Yeah looking at it with fresh eyes in the morning, it is a little too over-cooked. I was aiming at the more magazine style, just for a bit of fun.. didn’t quite hit the target I was aiming at though.
Great work Paul
Very nice!
Thanks Mark.. I think Flembot may be right.. that’s what you get when you “cook” after midnight.. haha :)
Thanks again for the invite, was great fun!
