Headed out yesterday afternoon with fellow landscape photographer Adrian Wayte, we went and checked out North Cottesloe first, but we didn’t really see anything that really connected. So we took a drive north along the coast and eventually ended up at Burns Beach.. I’d photographed portrait sessions here before but never any landscape work. I experimented with a few different long exposures, but didn’t really find anything that worked for me.
This image is what I ended up with, not sure why it looks a little tonemapped in spots, it’s a bit strange, all I’ve done to it is adjust the vibrancy up a touch and then run my 2 sharpening actions over it. Not entirely sure about this image, definitely looking forward to heading back to Burns Beach for a dawn shoot, or maybe even a night shoot. Would love some feedback on this one.

Hi Paul,
I quite like it mate. Certainly a pretty cool point of view and given that conditions were less than perfect I think you managed to pull something pretty cool off.
Jamie
Thanks Jamie.. I like being challenged by less than ideal conditions :)
Indeed mate. My previous images form an early morning shoot are on pg 8 & 9 on my blog. Certainly the colours you where talking about yesterday. Book it in for the new year mate.
Hey Paul, that front ledge with the run off looks great and the shore live wash
Thats what draws my eye to the image. It was certainly a challenging afternoon with nothing really on offer but to get this from the shoot Id say it might just end up in the 2013 calendar. Great to get out and amongst cheers for driving mate.
Thanks mate.. it was good to get out and do some exploring at any rate :)
