Just on 2 years ago I was asked to do some photography workshops in Mullewa, Western Australia.. it is a rural farming town about an hours drive inland from Geraldton. Rachel Mackenzie, the community development officer, was putting together a project called Thicker than water, a book about Mullewa, created largely by the people in Mullewa.
The workshops were a lot of fun, other than the theory sessions, we got out on the farms for some practical sessions as well as doing some photo walks around town with the locals. Two years down the track the book is finally finished and made it on to 10 News!
So proud to have been able to play a small part in this project, if you are ever looking for somewhere unique to photograph, Mullewa is definitely a great place to stop in. Make sure you stop at the service station to have a chat and get some local knowledge!
