It’s been an incredibly busy year so far, I can’t believe we’re in Autumn here in Australia already! I’m looking forward to the weather and conditions that Autumn and Winter bring though, I’ve scouted a few new locations that I think will be perfect to photograph in winter.
I’ve got a few projects on the go here in the South West right now, a couple of new ones in Perth and it looks like I might be making a very quick trip into the Kimberley for a commercial photography project soon.
Up coming events and travels:
Jordan – I’m travelling to Jordan with Colby Brown’s organisation, The Giving Lens, it is a volunteer trip, similar to what I did in Cambodia. I’m really looking forward to it, it should be a pretty incredible experience. I’ll be volunteering in the Iraq Al Amir Women’s Co-Operative as well as the Zikra Initiative. I’ll be in Jordan for the last few weeks of April, also considering a diversion to Egypt along the way and then Dubai / Abu Dhabi and Singapore on the way home.
Karijini National Park – June 2014
Colby Brown and myself are running a photography workshop in Karijini in June this year. It’s going to be quite the adventure with hiking, swimming and repelling down waterfalls all involved. We’ll be getting you into the areas that aren’t open to the general public unless you have permits, ropes and guides. The workshop fee covers all transfers, accommodation, permits and most meals.
We’ve still got a few places left on the trip, so make sure you check out the details on Colby’s website here: http://www.colbybrownphotography.com/photography-workshops/karijini-national-park-australia/
I’m currently running a promotion to raise some funds for my Jordan volunteer trip, any image that I have on Instagram, printed up to A3 size for AU$100 +postage. There are only a couple of minor exceptions where they are part of a limited edition collection. If you are interested in purchasing a print, please email me (paul [at] paulpichugin.com) with the link and I’ll send you a paypal invoice! Prints will be sent off the same day that the paypal payment is received. All funds will be going to the Jordan trip, if there are more funds than I need, they will be donated directly to the NGOs that I will be volunteering in.
