Perth’s Lunar Eclipse

Hey There, for those of us who were watching the skies on this very chilly night (6 degrees) we were lucky enough to get to watch a lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth so that the earth blocks the sun’s light from hitting the moon, basically leaving a huge shadow on an otherwise full moon.

I got my camera out and took a few shots of the sequence, it was only a partial eclipse tonight, so part of the moon remained visible and lit up the entire time. Here are the photos:

None of my photos are available to be used without my permission, they are not in the public domain. If you would like to use them for any purpose, please feel free to contact me!

Sorry about having to put the watermark on the photos, I’ve had a few issues in the past with a certain TV channel stealing my photos and not crediting me.

Regards

- paul
