Brief Update

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Hey All,

I’ve got a stack of photos coming real soon, some new art prints to be added to my red bubble account and other photos.

I’m planning a trip to Perth as well at the moment, so if you have a wedding or a portrait shoot between December 1st and January 7th, please let me know if you want me to be there as I will already be in town and happy to help out!

Mel and Josh – Wedding Photos

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

Hey All,

I shot an amazing wedding today! A lovely couple called Mel and Josh, Mel contacted me through my website after her sister checked out my work through my myspace page.. which is currently in much neglect! I arrived at 12:30pm to meet with girls and take photos of them all getting ready, I’m really happy with the shots I got, they were very organised and relaxed, which makes my job so much easier :)

The wedding was held in the Latrobe Street Chapel, a nice little chapel at Paddington, it’s laid out very nicely and run by some nice people. We moved on to Roma Street Parklands for the formal location shoot, they were all very easy to work with and I got some gerat shots. We moved on to Indooroopilly Golf Club for a few more photos and the reception.

Over all it was a wonderful day, I really enjoyed taking their photos and meeting up with them :)

Anyway, here’s their slideshow, they asked me to put The Moment by Anthony Warlow as the backing track.. my hardest job so far was picking which photos to use in the slideshow, I ended up with over 100 photos just in the slideshow! It may take a minute or 2 to start, because it’s downloading all the photos and music first.

Thank you very much Mel & Josh for having me at your wedding, I really enjoyed myself and I’m really happy with the photos I got. It was great to finally meet you guys and I’m looking forward to doing a portrait shoot with you both later on this year! Hope you have a wonderful time on your honeymoon.. and I have to admit, I’m really jealous.. I wish I was going to the Maldives too.. *sigh*

Family and friends, feel free to leave comments here for Mel and Josh!

Greensmith Family Portraits

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Hey All,

I had a fun family portrait session this afternoon with the Greensmith family (and the Cables, Williams and Browns), they had a portrait session 10 years ago and wanted to update their photos. The setting is actually their backyard, they live on acreage at Bridgeman Downs with some nice gardens and a pond that actually has water in it!

Anyway, here is the slideshow:

Thanks for inviting me for this special shoot.

Busy Weekend ahead!

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Hey All,

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything up, mostly because I’ve been flat out busy! I’ve got some new landscape art prints available up on my redbubble account, please check them out and feel free to buy any of them that you like :)

I’ll be posting up some new prints real soon too, I’ve got some older stuff that I’ve been working on and some fresh new shots to put up.  We’re heading out to O’Reily’s Summit this Saturday, hoping to get some fresh waterfall shots and creek shots, we’ll see how we go, I might try and get a visit into somewhere else in Lamington National Park as well, depends on time.

This afternoon I’ve got a family portrait shoot, which should be nice, I’m hoping the weather clears up a little bit for the shoot. If not, it will be fun anyway.

Sunday I’m shooting a wedding for Mel and Josh, there should be some nice shots to be had, as usual the photo slideshow will be posted up here by early Monday morning.. no laptops to give me trouble this time.. haha.

A big announcement is that I’m going to be doing some work with the world famous Marcus Bell and Studio Impressions soon.. That’s a real vote of confidence, as he is Australia’s number 1 photographer, he was recently awarded Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year amongst a few other awards. The studio also has it’s fair share of awards under it’s collective belt! It’s a real privilege, I’m so looking forward to working with the industry’s best.

That doesn’t mean that I won’t still be doing my own work, if anything I will be aiming to do even more! The experience will be invaluable though!
